Why is special needs estate planning so important?
It is never too soon to start planning for the future. However, when it comes to creating a secure future for a child with special needs, the task can seem daunting. Easter Seals is pleased to offer a unique opportunity to help inform and guide you through the process
Two highly skilled professionals are in the areas of estate planning, disability law, special needs trusts and financial planning are available for consultation and assistance to you. Valerie A. Powers Smith, Esq. is an attorney with Slovak Baron & Empey, LLP and a member of the Easter Seals Board of Directors. Bruce Sham is a Special Care planner with Mass Mutual Insurance Company, a long time generous corporate partner with Easter Seals. Both Valerie and Bruce will be available on the same day at the same location for an initial consultation with Easter Seals families and friends. Appointments begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. and are scheduled in blocks for one 45 minute legal consultation and one 45 minute financial consultation. **Note, all consultations are provided to Easter Seals friends and families at no cost. If you choose to proceed with further services, costs and payment plans will be established on an individual basis.
