Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Helping children become more independent in everyday activities such as dressing, feeding, playing, and managing emotions.

Overview

Pediatric occupational therapy helps children become more independent in everyday activities such as dressing, feeding, playing, and managing emotions. Therapy focuses on fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and self-help skills that are essential for participation at home and in the classroom.

Occupational therapists use a family-centered coaching model to guide caregivers in supporting their child throughout daily routines. Services are adapted to each child’s needs and delivered in the settings where they live and learn.
